If you have any information regarding April or her last days in Newberry Springs please call the tip line or send a message via the TIPS page.

UPDATE 020508:
Two companies have signed on in the search for April. Lamar Advertising will provide 10 giant posters to promote the search and tip line website. VideoRay has tentatively agreed to send a high-tech underwater camera to search potentially flooded mine shafts.

UPDATE 020808:
General Advertising has agreed to provide time and materials on TWO of their billboards in the Barstow/Newberry Springs area to advertise this website.

UPDATE 030508:
The billboard artwork has been sent and should be displayed soon. Today three prominent TV shows were sent a letter outlining April’s plight in hopes that they will air a segment on her disappearance and the upcoming search.

UPDATE 031008:

After review with local law enforcement, four sites have been selected for the primary search. Two mine shafts and two expanses of open terrain were picked for their relation to existing clues in the case.

UPDATE 031208:
United Site Services has agreed to deliver port-a-potties to our remote sites at a discounted rate.

UPDATE 031908:
The billboards went up yesterday. One is located on the I-40, the other on Highway 58. Both sites are in or around Barstow and should draw a lot of attention. So far we have collected $250 in cash donations and untold amounts of supplies have been given or will be on loan for the search.

UPDATE 032108:
Peggy Sue's 50's Dinner in Yermo California has agreed to let the searchers assemble in the western-most section of the restaurants parking lot. The dinner is an ideal meeting place as it is centrally located to the search sites.

UPDATE 032908:
Posters went up in parts of Barstow yesterday to compliment the billboards. About 40 in all were hung along Main Street and on the north side of the city. T-shirts have been ordered and are for sale for $15 plus shipping if needed. Proceeds will benefit April's mother Gloria. Sizes range from small to xx large. Please email Mat Richter at: mat@mat-creativepro.com to purchase yours before they are gone.

UPDATE 040308:
RKI Instruments has agreed to loan us portable gas detection equipment in order to ensure the safety of our mine searchers. James Price, who was a major contributor to the last search, is going to supply much of the other equipment needed that has not yet been pledged.

UPDATE 040908:
The city of Barstow has agreed to donate two buses to the search effort to transport our volunteer force safely and effectively to the search sites. The search day agenda has been reviewed by the Search Captains and they are prepared for their rolls. Final preparations are being made. Beginning next week the advance party will be headed to the area to set up a base camp and conduct preliminary searches.

UPDATE 050908:
The excavation of the primary search site did not yield any remains. The site, which has been suspect for years, has been cleared thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and is no longer a nagging unanswered question. On day two searchers scoured an open area of desert where partial human remains were found a year ago. No further remains were found.

Gloria took time to meet with two persons thought to be involved in April's disappearance and cleared them. One passed a lie detector test and the other has agreed to the test. New information has now surfaced and the search will be taking a new direction in the weeks to come.

Photos from the search are on the PHOTOS page.
